Written by: Dafni Delioglani i Ephy Kouzi, FOCUS STC

On 27 May 2026 , seven EU-funded initiatives will join forces per a high-level event held in Brussels and online. Titled “Co-Creating Policy Recommendations per a Rural Bioeconomy,” aquest gathering seeks to bridge the existing gap between local innovation and European policymaking.

A Strategic Framework for Rural Innovation

  • Synthesising Multi-Project Evidence: Consolidat cross-border findings en sustainable resource management and bio-based value chains into actionable strategic insights aligned with la nova European bioeconomy framework.
  • Identifiing Systemic Barriers: Avaluate opportunities and challenges feta per EIP-AGRI Operational Groups, while simultaneously pinpointing the regulatory implications rising from the New European Bioeconomy Strategy que affecte scaling of bio-based initiatives.
  • Co-designing Actionable Policy: Utilitzeu a “Policy Lab” environment per transformar technical implementation data en concretes recomanacions per a EU i regional decision-makers.
  • Bridging the Research-Policy Gap: Facilitat direct dialogue between practitioners, EIP-AGRI Operational Groups, biobased value chain actors, i institutional stakeholders to ensure local realities inform a unified Policy Roadmap.

Transforming Insights into Action

A keynote address from the EU CAP Network Support Facility will set the stage for the morning, followed by series of strategic insights from the participation projects and introduction to the “Policy Lab” methodology.

The programme will then transition int specialised working groups. One group will explore Sustainable Resource Management , examining how EIP-AGRI Operational Groups act as catalysts for soil, water, and biomass valorisation. Simultaneously, a second group will examine Regulatory Frameworks and Value Chains , debatent les legislatives shifts requerits per foster fair rural business models ia cooperative green biorefinery sector.

The journey will conclou with a Multi-Actor Roundtable .

Participation and Registration
