The Open University of Catalonia (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya) is launching the first edition of the " SpinUOC Rural " awards for projects framed within the field of contemporary ruralities, that is, projects developed in municipalities of up to 5,000 inhabitants or with direct application to the challenges and issues of rural areas, such as depopulation, digital connectivity, natural resource management, access to services or economic and social revitalization.
This recognition is part of the #SpinUOC program, the UOC's entrepreneurship and knowledge transfer event, in which eight community projects compete each year for three cash prizes.
This initiative was created to raise awareness and address the current challenges facing rural areas . Seventeen percent of the UOC community lives in rural areas; with this new initiative, the UOC reaffirms its commitment to diversity, equality, and innovation as strategic pillars for the future. The winning project will receive a prize of €10,000 and will be the eighth finalist in SpinUOC, where it will have the opportunity to win one of the other €10,000 prizes.
So, if you have an innovative solution to rural challenges, don't miss this opportunity to showcase your project and gain support to take it to the next level!
🗓️ Deadline: January 18
