This program, implemented by EIT Food and Esade with co-financing from the European Union, is designed to transform the food system by supporting female leadership in a sector that is key to our economy. Despite its importance, women entrepreneurs continue to face structural barriers in accessing financing, and EWA was created precisely to break down these obstacles through high-level mentorship and €50,000 in direct prizes.
This year, the program is evolving towards a multi-modular structure to adapt to different stages of maturity:
- Module 2 (Grow) Spain: Focused on female entrepreneurs in the initial stage or with solid ideas, with prizes of €10,000 and €5,000.
- Module 3 (Advance) Europe: Aimed at companies with commercial traction (min. €50,000 in revenue or €200,000 in capital), with prizes of €20,000 and €15,000.
The program invites all women leading the change towards a more sustainable, efficient, and inclusive food system to apply. The deadline to apply for both modules is May 11, 2026.
