Within the framework of the grant from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food for carrying out activities of special interest to promote the role of women in rural development, the Association of Women of Agri-food Cooperatives of Spain (AMCAE) will implement a program of actions in which social, economic and technological innovation will take center stage.
The event is framed within the need to continue promoting the full participation of women in Galician agri-food cooperatives, recognizing their essential role at the production base and addressing the gap that still persists in decision-making spaces. In this context, it aims to become a space for reflection, debate, and proposing actions that will strengthen the active presence of women members in their organizations, as well as foster the creation and consolidation of support networks among them. It also seeks to contribute innovative ideas to advance towards more equitable participation, highlight the pride of being farmers and livestock breeders committed to the land, and raise awareness of the mechanisms of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) that can contribute to the incorporation of women and the strengthening of their farms.
