Greater support for rural areas

European CAP Network

The European CAP Network (EU CAP Network), since October 2022, which integrates the former European Network for Rural Development (ENRD) , the European Innovation Partnership Network (AEI-Agri) , theEuropean Evaluation Helpdesk and the Communication and Logistical Support Team and its organizational structure and operating rules are established by the European Commission .

Its main objective is to centralize information on both agricultural policies and rural development policy within the European Union (EU), providing special support to:

  • CAP Strategic Plans : The European CAP Network ensures that the plans are implemented within each Member State.
  • Innovation : The European CAP Network facilitates communication and cooperation between Operational Groups and innovative projects related to agriculture, livestock farming, forestry and rural development.
  • Evaluation : The European CAP Network integrates the European CAP Evaluation Helpdesk , which is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of CAP evaluations by assisting the various stakeholders involved.

Its structure and operation consists of:

  • An assembly that fosters exchange and networking between public and private entities, providing the strategic framework for their activities.
  • A steering group that ensures the effective and efficient monitoring of the European Network's activities.
  • The permanent subgroups of the assembly, which carry out thematic work in accordance with a mandate defined by the assembly.
