The 2018 Training Plan for Rural Environment Technicians Prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food and Environment (MAPAMA) through the coordination of the General Directorate of Rural Development and Forestry Policy, it includes 67 actions. They are aimed at groups that carry out their work mainly in rural areas and that are key to the transfer of knowledge and innovation : agents involved in the processes of change that promote rural development, as well as new technologies , advice , sustainability and the conservation of natural, social and cultural resources, or climate action.
The objective of the plan is to bring training closer to technicians from different administrations, networks of local action groups , local action groups, professional agricultural organizations , employment and local development agents, university graduates who work in the advisory system for potential beneficiaries of aid within the framework of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), cooperatives and rural associations .
The training program covers diverse topics ranging from water efficiency and environmental sustainability in irrigation, to the use of drones in forest fires, entrepreneurship in rural areas, ecotourism, organic food production and marketing, testing for distinctiveness, uniformity, and variety of fruit trees, hygiene in agricultural primary production and its official control, shared ownership of farms, resin extraction techniques in pine forests, and the mitigation of desertification and climate change, among others.
