From June 28th to July 7th | Organized by: Mutur Beltz
Basque wool, contemporary art, and community in the heart of rural Bizkaia

Spinning as a central gesture: an ancient practice that unites generations and forges bonds.
This is the ninth edition of the Buen Vivir Artistic Residency , organized by Mutur Beltz in the Karrantza Valley (Bizkaia) . This established project combines contemporary art, agroecology, and collective creation around Basque wool , shepherding, and the revitalization of sustainable trades.

Here, wool becomes a symbolic material, a cultural landscape, and the guiding thread of a residency that brings together national and international artists to inhabit the territory with different rhythms and perspectives.

🌿 Participating artists and featured projects

  • Niño de Elche records the B-side of the vinyl Padre Mío in Karrantza, in collaboration with the Abestiko Lagunak women's choir.
