Rural youth are the future of the region. However, the lack of employment, training, leisure, and housing opportunities leads many young people to choose to move to large cities and seek a future in urban areas. To reverse this situation, it is necessary for young people to participate in decision-making in their regions and play an active role in governance processes.

In this context, Local Action Groups play a key role as facilitators, identifying the real needs of rural youth and thus achieving greater participation and involvement of this group in the region.

This LEADER exchange of experiences aims to create a space for reflection and debate, sharing ideas and initiatives launched by various Local Action Groups that can serve as inspiration and reference for other territories, the government, other rural entities, and even young people themselves.
