09/30/2019 - The National Rural Network is organizing two rural entrepreneurship courses in two locations in Spain to train and support entrepreneurs.

Entrepreneurship is a driving force for change and revitalization of the rural environment . It affects different sectors: agri-food, forestry, tourism, energy, etc. Rural development contributes to generating employment, productivity, and added value in the regions , through the circular economy, the social economy, and the use of endogenous resources, among other areas.

From the RRN we organize two entrepreneurship courses, one in Monforte de Lemos (Lugo) and another in Trujillo (Cáceres) to strengthen the capacities of people living in rural areas to undertake this type of business. They will gain information about the basic steps for starting a business, delve deeper into the development of a business plan, and acquire skills in other cross-cutting issues such as communication, cooperation, and the generation of synergies with other initiatives.

These courses are aimed at people who have already started a business and want to diversify their activity and gain additional knowledge that may be useful for their current activity; people who have a business idea to launch and are seeking advice on their first steps and continued success; and technical staff from Local Action Groups who can share and use the content to disseminate and implement it in their areas.

They are structured over four days, with each day focusing on a content module with different methodologies that include presentations, practical exercises, and real-life experiences. The topics of these modules are: getting started , how to go from idea to reality; the roadmap , how to develop a business plan; success stories shared by those who have implemented them so they can serve as good practices; and finally, how to reach others, technical aspects of marketing, communication, and cooperation.
