This is the fifth call for scholarships launched by the Directorate General for Rural Development, Innovation and Agri-Food Training.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food has announced a public call for 12 training scholarships in rural development and innovation, which aim to introduce young professionals to the possibilities and opportunities offered by rural areas. The call for applications has been published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) .
Given the multidisciplinary nature of the challenges faced in this field, scholarships are open to a variety of qualifications, including agricultural and forestry engineers, veterinarians, journalists, and graduates in law, economics, or statistics.
Selection
Following the selection process established in the call for applications, the selected candidates will join the Directorate General of Rural Development, Innovation, and Agri-Food Training beginning in the second half of 2022, for an initial period of one year, with the possibility of a two-year extension.
The scholarships will be awarded a gross monthly amount of €1,150, subject to applicable legal deductions and withholdings, including Social Security contributions. They will also receive a travel grant of up to €1,500 per year.
