REGISTER AND PARTICIPATE! RuralES, 1st National Congress on Social Economy and Living Territories. Córdoba, December 22, 2025
From ARA we invite you to participate in RuralES, the 1st Congress of Social Economy and Living Territories , which will be held on December 22 , 2025 at the Rectorate of the University of Córdoba (Avda. Medina Azahara, 5 14071 Córdoba).
The objectives of this Congress are:
🔹Promote a state meeting space to publicize and connect the important social and economic capital that rural areas possess with public support frameworks such as the European Rural Agenda, the Spanish Social Economy Strategy 2023-2027 and the National Strategy to Face the Demographic Challenge.
🔹To highlight the importance of the social economy in rural areas for its contribution to stable employment, territorial equity, sustainability and because it promotes a people-centered business model.
Congress Contents:
- Rural HUB. The initiative includes live talks by representative organizations from each of the autonomous communities, about transformative projects in territories at risk of depopulation. These projects are related to the local economy, community resilience, and environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
- Rural Innovation Laboratory: “Living ecosystems in empty contexts”, on strategies to activate links, knowledge, resources and opportunities in areas of low population density.
In summary, RuralES will share experiences, successful models and proposals to advance alliances, promote public policies that support rural territories and strengthen their role as a lever for social and economic innovation.
The RuralES Congress is organized by the Association for Rural Development of Andalusia (ARA) in collaboration with Proyectizable and Hexagonal. It is funded by the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy.
